September 11, 2001 will forever be a day in the life that changed the United States forever. It was somewhere between 8:50 and 8:55, I was in Fifth Grade, I remember it like yesterday. At 10 years old, I was in Elementary School, it was my last year of Elementary School. We were getting ready to do some school work, then my speech teacher rushes in the classroom and says something's going on in the World Trade Center. Then the TV is on, and there it was right before our eyes, it was something like a movie, At first I thought there could've been something wrong, electrical wiring or one of the chefs caught something on fire, but it turned out to be a plane, then around 9:00, another plane hit, and It was chaos right then and there, that's when I realized that it was a Terrorist Attack all along. My mind traces back to what happened, 30 minutes later, The Pentagon close to an hour of where I live got hit by another plane. But sadly both World Trade Centers collapsed, And it seemed like they were going to plan another attack on Los Angeles, but luckily the passengers who were hijacked by the plane stoped them from doing so and sacrificed their lives in doing so. I also remember Kids getting picked up at school that day by their parents, they were scrambling to take their kids home from all of this chaos. I don't understand also why they would call our school off as well, despite that, we still had a full-day. This was probably the worst day I've ever encountered. Thankfully, Everyone in my family was alive. They weren't in New York, They were at Work while I was still in School. And watching footage on YouTube of those towers colliding and the other plane hitting the Second World Trade Center, and the phone calls of people calling for help on the planes and also the World Trade Center. It's really haunting, because you had firefighters, police officers and others trying to save these people's life, and they sacrificed to save everyone in New York too. They fought and died for trying to find these people in the Rubble, Alive or Dead. Chilling when you hear people try to make it out alive for trying to call for help. And I thank god that I wasn't in New York and Washington that day. But where was everyone on that Late Summer September Day when it happened?.
